May 2018 – West Coast and Beyond!

Welcome to Head to Head's May Newsletter!

This past month our team traveled through BC and Alberta in a Team Canada branded Toyota RAV4 to expand our school and club mentorship programs.  The trip was a big success, and connected eight different Olympians with hundreds of young Canadian athletes!

2018 West Coast Mentorship Tour

Our team visited Vancouver, Chilliwack, Victoria, Revelstoke, Canmore, Olds and Calgary over the course of 2 weeks in April. We met with Olympians, schools and sports clubs to share the Head to Head mission and engage with communities.

Head to Head founder Martha McCabe connected with many extended members of the Head to Head family (and her own!) during the trip.   Here is 2X Olympian and Olympic Silver Medallist in rowing Conlin McCabe with Martha in Victoria, BC with the Toyota Canada RAV 4 that safely delivered our team to western Canada.

Upcoming Events

The success of our swim clinics, means that we have added more to the calendar! This May, clinics will be led by different Olympians in Montreal and Vancouver.  More will follow in the summer.

Our clinics cover topics like turns, starts, drills, technique and video work in the water, as well as managing nerves, nutrition, sleep habits, goal setting, and more, in the classroom.

Please share these event details with anyone who might be interested!
